The main producing areas are Sizhuang, Yonglu, Pusan, Zhaozhuang, Yechuan, Duzhai, Chenqu and Tuanchi, among which the large yellow pears from Tielu Village in Chenqu Town have the best quality, commonly known as “Tielu pears”. They were tribute in the Ming and Qing dynasties, with a history of over 300 years.
In spring, the mountains and fields are filled with blooming pear flowers. In autumn, golden fruits hang heavily on the branches. For a long time, pear planting and sales have been the local pride and support. However, in the early 1990s, due to the thick skin and flesh of yellow pears, 40 million kg was seriously overstocked and unsalable. To save the pear industry, in 1992, led by Tian Wanhong, Party branch secretary of Macun, SPSE Group Beverage Company was established.
